img_0797Hi, my name is Jeff Smith

My first major adventure was when I was eleven years old. That was when my family moved to Germany for my dad to pursue a dream of benellibecoming an opera singer. It was in Munich that I got my first motorbike. Well, at that time, a Benelli mini bike was the closest I would get to a motorcycle. The Benelli was followed by a Jawa 90, a Honda 450, a BSA 650 Lightning and then switching from street to dirt, a Bultaco 360. From here is was a natural progression to start motocross riding. I joined a local motocross club, got a DMV national license, picked up a KTM 250 and started touring the German country side as I traveled from one race to the next.

Eleven years after moving to Germany I returned to the US to live in Southern California. After several years of racing a Maico 250 at Saddleback park, commuting from Orange County to JPL on a Suzuki GS1000, meeting my future wife, Wendy, it was time to move on ... to Alaska. Here we enjoyed countless outdoor trips, but with short summers and long winters the biking was put on hold. In Alaska we started a family and are blessed with a daughter and son. We now live in Spokane Washington, which offers a good blend of summer and winter activities.

The adventures continues......
